As per usual, we are easily influenced by literally anything we come across on TikTok. So when a matcha cookie recipe popped up on Jasmine’s For You Page, there was no turning back.
With a long Easter weekend ahead of us and no real plans besides binge-watching and eating way too much candy, we figured it was the perfect time to try a new sweet treat.
If you know Jasmine, you already know she’s obsessed with two things, trends and matcha. When she saw these soft, chewy matcha cookies that were similar to our Grandma’s Christmas crinkles, we had to try.

These cinnamon rolls fought me to the end.
They also reminded me exactly why I HATE dealing with dough.

I kneaded it too much at one point, which is honestly where it all went downhill. Rolling it out was a full workout, shaping it was a disaster, and don’t even get me started on the rising time. By the end, it felt less like baking and more like being at battle.
That said, they did turn out delicious, warm, and worth a second (or third) bite. But I am not convinced it was worth the chaos, when I could’ve just popped open a can?
Maybe you will have better luck!
